John Francis Wade was a hymnist and a musicologist. It is  believed that he may have composed ‘O Come All Ye Faithful’ back in the 1700s.  The latin version of ‘O Come All Ye Faithful’ lyrics, “Adeste Fideles” may have been the original version . “Adeste Fideles” translates to ‘ Come, Faithful Ones’.

I must say, the latin version of O Come All Ye Faithful lyrics had been quite the buzz among the Catholics. It was considered a tradition to sing the Hymn during the midnight mass services on Christmas every year. Well, it’s only fitting to say that the joyous nature of the lyrics invites each and everyone to celebrate, just the choice to solemn the occasion.
