Annie has a rich background in music holding a Diploma(ATCL) in Western Classical and
Jazz music, a degree in Hindustani Classical Music and a Diploma in Carnatic Music.
She is a passionate Musician, Playback Singer, Arranger and a Vocal Tutor. She enjoys blending the
classical techniques with contemporary sensibilities to create distinctive sounds that resonate with the
ones who appreciate music.
Beyond the stage and studio, Annie finds immense joy in educating and influencing learners impartling
not only technical skills but other intricate facets of the artform for 8 years now.
Carnatic Vocal Teacher
Ms.Shrutilaya Ravi hails from a traditional musical family and has been learning
and performing for the last 20+ yrs. Her father Kalaimamani Karukurichi Shri A.Ravi and mother Isai
kalaimani Shyamala Ravi are professional veena artists. She started learning carnatic music in 1999 from
her grandfather late Karukurichi S. Adhinarayanan, (All India Radio, Veena Artist) from whom she learnt
Carnatic saastriya sangeetham.
She continued her learning journey under the guidance of her father and her uncle Karukurichi A Balaji.
Later, she honed her musical skill from Shri AS Murali, one of renowned carnatic vocalists. She holds a
distinction in M.A (Carnatic Music).
Shruthilaya Ravi has performed many times in AIR (All India Radio), Doordarshan, Ars & Culture
(Pondicherry), Sai Shankara & TTD. She has been teaching carnatic music for 7+ years.
