- Made from 20+ years old ‘select’ bamboo (referred to as ‘Kalmungil, kal meaning stone, mungil meaning bamboo) found in deep forests near Kanyakumari and parts of Southern Karnataka, which have seen plenty of sunshine and rain. These woods are handpicked by the flute maker and seasoned to remove the moisture by a special heat treatment process.
- The guage of this flute is much thicker than the regular bamboo flutes and therefore the overall weight of the flute is also 50% higher on average

I bought a Super Premium E Natural Carnatic Flute from Music Master sometime in February this year. I received the flute in good condition, excellently packed. When I opened the packing, I was really impressed by the quality of the flute. It felt solid (good thickness and weight), nice to hold and play and well polished. I understand that the flute is hand made using old bamboo. I have been using this flute for the last one month or so. I am really enjoying my flute classes with this flute and my practice is going good. In my previous flute, the blowing hole was smaller and somehow it was not easy to play high notes. While in this flute purchased from Music Master, I am able to play high notes easily without any problem. The tonal quality of the flute is also good. It is good value for the money. If I need any other flute in the future, I know where to buy from.
