The notes are D F# and A. It may be worthwhile to remember the major chords are constructed using 1-3-5 notes of the scale. The notes in the string are<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>G &#8211; The 4th string<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>C &#8211; The 3rd string<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>E &#8211; The 2nd string<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A &#8211; The 1st string (and highest-tone string)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Take a look at the D major or D chord shape.
