All major scales are constructed with the 7-note formula: W \u2013 W \u2013 H \u2013 W \u2013 W \u2013 W \u2013 H. W stands for a whole note or step and H stands for half note or step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using the major scale formula, the notes of the D major scale are&nbsp;<strong>D \u2013 E \u2013 F# \u2013 G \u2013 A \u2013 B \u2013 C# \u2013 D<\/strong>. The note, D repeats one octave higher. Its <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/musicmaster.in\/blog\/understanding-key-signatures-in-music\/\">key signature<\/a><\/strong> has two sharps on the scale. When playing or composing a song, the song is constructed on a particular key signature. However, the finger positions are different. Check the notes and finger positions and start playing them as given below. If you are playing note by note, we can play using even one finger.
